Shooting bag filler material choices

I really like mine easy and quick to set up on some small stands. The height I found as an added bonus as you mention. I tend to steer clear of tall grass for obvious reasons.
I don’t know how many transit tripods I have passed by at auctions and yard sales over the years.

I have an idea in my head for a tall/chair/bench, something on the order of a tennis judge chair with a bench. If I could find the right part of a donor ladder I think I could make one and have it fold flat. Just what I need, more stuff to haul and pack.

Also had ideas of making a pivoting bench as many of us have, but make it taller. Have some plans drawn up, see to give them to a buddy that does autocad and see what works or doesn’t before I start cutting and welding.
