Savage Model 12BGTV Thumbhole

Post by berettabob »

I own a single shot Savage at present and am very satisfied with the accuracy (204). I am wondering if any one on the forum has any experience with the Model 12BGTV and if so can you advise on your experience. I have always wanted a thumbhole and this may be a good way to get one in my favorite caliber. thanks

You will love the thumbhole. After shooting it for a while ,My other guns felt uncomfortable. I love mine and it's a joy to shoot. It's got a spot in my safe for life :D . Unfortunately it's a .223 Rem  .

Thanks Hawkeye, I am also thinking about getting a thumbhole stock for a Model 77 Ruger in 220 Swift. Too little money and too many decisions make my head hurt, wish I could do it all. The single shot Savage in 204 is a great shooter, so I hate to mess with the setup.
Thanks!
