My newest Savage - The Black Mamba.!.!.!.!.!

Post by Big_Bullseye »

Been wanting a 308 bolt gun that was more on the heavy tacticool side for some long rangetarget shooting and just geneally hving fun. It may make its way to a big comfy condo stand to kill a deer, we'll see as I have plenty of lighter guns for that stuff.

Here are the particlulars;

Savage Model 10 - FCP - HS Precision

Caliber - .308

Barrel - Heavy 24", 1-10" twist

Base - Richard Near 20MOA Picatinny

Rings - Leupold MK4 1" mediums

Scope - Zeiss Conquest 6.5X20X50 MC Rapid Z-1000 reticle

and deadly, me and my daughter broke it in today and shot three different handloads through it. Here is one.... I had one in the .2s but we shot the target up before we could take a pic. (oops)

also the rapid Z 1000 reticle was on perfectly at 100 yard intervals out to 500 (we didn't shoot any farther today) I did my homework on that Zeiss power ring calculator and it was on. Set it at 18.6, zero at 100 on the very top crosshair and go. Can't wait to ring the gong at 8 or 900.....

My daughter rang the 500 yard gong 4 times in a row just holding on the #5 crosshair. This thing is fun and makes you really look good.
