I do the same as you basically they are tough to seat. I spent a little more time deburing than with boat tails. I actually chuck up a cone i made packed with steel wool. I saw this on varmit als page and it debures and camfers very well. I helps to get the bullets started straight. They are definatly a bit more difficult to seat, But i am amazed how well they shoot!

I have had no problem with either Dogtown or Varmint extreme bullets in 32-55 gr. Depending on what they are being shot in, from my 204, 223 or 22-250. I seem to favor the 34 and 55 gr in my rifles. Bill K

The hot ticket for seating any .17 or .20-.22 cal bullets IMO is to use a VLD chamfering tool. I've been using a Holland VLD tool for a couple of years now, and it really made a difference in ability to seat bullet easily, and also on the target, as NO jacket shaving occurs. I was able to knock .010" off most of my varmint rifle groups just by going this route. Only one pull of the press handle too.

The other day I received another VLD tool from Brad at CRT (wirelessguy2005 here), and his tool is the full equal of Holland's, but has the added feature of being able to be used in a cordless drill or screwdriver....nice.

A highly recommended addition to any precison handloaders tool chest.

Second using a VLD tool. the majority of what I load is flat based (sierra 6.5mm 85 gr and hornady hornady 32gr .204), and its a God-send. What a relief. Not a gimmick.

I have a WOA .204 AR and this is my load for it. Shoots 1 1/2 at 300 yards. Win brass trimmed to 1.840 CCI BR-4 primer, 2.250 COL
26.5 gr. Reloader 10X 32 gr Sierra Blitz King Avg velocity 4127 300 yd zero
another load that shoots well in this rifle 2" at 300 yds same brass spcs. 35 gr Berger HP 26.2 gr Benchmark CCI BR-4
average vel. 3756 32 gr Sierra BK

Shot a lot of different powders, also rifle did not like Hornady. I did not work up a load for the 39 gr Sierra blitz king
