Measuring Group Size

Post by skipper »

I put this graphic together to help understand group size measurement. Hopefully this will help. The key factor seems to be determining the exact location of the shot hole center. The most accurate way I have found is to use On Target to identify the centers of the shot holes, using the magnification feature, and then relying on the automatic calculation to reveal group size. Shot holes are ragged, to say the least, and sometimes I have found myself having to take several measurements and then average them. I hope this post doesn't induce debate, rather help promote understanding.
