It's that time again. Is Hawkeye going to remain Top Dog?

Don't forget this runs into hunting season in many areas.

I changed the target submission date to read.

"Targets submissions must be postmarked by 1 October 2008."

WW

EDIT:

For you new forum members...

I mail the targets to you with a return envelope, you shoot your targets and pay the return postage.

If you shoot the overall low average then you would be the 2008 "204um Top Dog"

The current holder of this prestigious title is Hawkeye Joe!

WW, I asked this question in my pm, but thought others may have the same question. I have two .204's, would two targets be possible, one per gun, or just one target per person? Thanks...

Keith,

If I understood correctly, one gun per class. If both your rifles are in the same class, you may shoot only one of them. If they fall into two different classes, then you may shoot both, one in each class.

Watch out Hawkeye, I'm gunnin' for ya. I already have my load so I should be returning my targets early. I want to hit the range before the deer hunters start the annual sighting in process.

You are permitted to shoot one rifle per class. You could shoot one of them coopers in the custom class.

Kind of a toss up. I view this as not much different then a quality bedding job on a factory stock. Go ahead and shoot it in factory.

Hawkeye,

You can't shoot two rifles in one class. So shoot one of 'em in custom and the other in factory, that way you can win twice. And the rest of us can fight for second instead of third in the factory class.

I think my LRPV barrel is going south. I normally have a peak accuracy window of about 40-50 shots. It's now down to 5-10 max, then needs a good cleaning. I called Jim Briggs and he has a McGowen barrel in stock chambered in .204. The mixed reviews on the McGowen barrels tells me I should wait on a custom chambered Lilja. Anybody shoot a small caliber McGowen(22cal or smaller)?? I think it's time for Hawekeye to get a Hawkeye and see what's going on inside my barrel.

Thanks again WW. I sent you a pm today with the required info. I am going to try and defend my title (Factory Rifle/Factory Ammo)to the best of my ability even though I see that Factory Rifle now includes handloads as well. I'll have my work cut out for me! My goal is to better me score from last year by 0.2".

Let the games begin! :D
