A simple question for lurkers and active members-

I would be interested if you would post your age.

I am just curious what average age people are that own a .204 Ruger.

It is my opinion that people are tied to certain calibers by generation...the younger guys are GA GA over 6.5 CM for instance.

Let me start- see below!

I am 85 and still pretty darn active. I have two 204's, as of the present time. :D

Since some are adding their other 20 calibers along with answering the question on our 204's, I will add I also have 20Vt,20SCC,20-222 and 20-223ai's which I enjoy and use. The 20 caliber is probably my favorite, but do enjoy 17,224, 6mm, 6.5, 25, 30 and 375's also, which I own in various cartridges, for pleasure and hunting. :D

Sixty/60 on the slope to 61. FYI no adult supervision either, which tends to get me in trouble at times

Started off with a 204R, then I ordered a 20BR. I waited a while…….., then ordered a 20VT. The VT arrived way early…..32-34 grain is it. If I go heavier I want to go faster without worrying about pressure issues. So the 20VT see’s 32-34’s, the 204 sees 39-40’s and the 20BR will see 50+.

I was late in life fooling with small calibers. I am ate up with 17’s, 20 and 22’s. I would step into 19’s if I was not spooked about limited availability of projectiles.

My Christmas present to me was a PCP in .25. May be another rabbit hole, always wanted a high quality air rig. Time will tell.

51, 2 weeks ago. I own 2 204R, both are Tikka's. My lightweight walking gun wears a Lilja 1-10 twist barrel for the 40's and my other one is a factory Tikka varmint with the factory 1-12 twist for the 32's-39's. Waiting on a CZ 527 in 20 VT to be delivered

Maybe go re-read the original post?

Our forum is in need of active posters. The name of our forum is .204 Ruger. As you can see, most of us are not Millenials. I wanted to confirm my hunch that part of the issue with the lack of activity is the average age of our members.

NOW varmint shooter, do you see where I am coming from?

How old are you?

TKat, Varmint Shooter is an octogenarian, and most likely does not like to be spoken to as you did. I would not expect him to reply to your 'question', so don't hold your breath.

VShooter is also an old member here and a friend of Bill K in N. CA with lots of varmint shooting experience. I'd treat him with a bit more respect. JMO

That is correct. My old partner is one fine person and a good shooter and shot. It was just smart and moved away from Ca and moved to a better climate as far as guns are concerned. :D

I should add we built some fine rifles and has some super hunts for GS and Rockchucks over a few years.
