Another small caliber bullet supplier

Post by scootertrash »

For those of you who also visit Saubier, you know John and Drew finally got their site up and the business going. I wish them the best.

I ordered a box of the 38gr FB's. Now if the weather would only get a little nicer. Haven't pulled a trigger in over 3 weeks :insane:

Tell me about it. Had 55mph winds yesterday down here in Ct. Did you get a taste of those in NY Mike?

We have a local bullet maker out here in Alberta that is producing 20 cal bullets.
I just ordered 6 boxes of his 38 gr cup base ultra low drag and one box of his 48 gr rebated boat tails . BC will be higher than the sierra 39 gr blitz with a stronger jacket. Can't wait to try them out. Should be ultimate yote medicine.

Gube; Where does he list the 20 calibre bullets? All that came up on the site you listed were 22 calibre and larger.

He hasn't updated his web sight yet. Just send him an E-mail in regards to the two 20 cal bullets that he makes. (He is working on a bigger selection, from 25 up to 60 grain ultra low drag stuff).

Gube; Thanks a lot. I did not know about Wildcat Bullets until you posted it here. And he is only in Wetaskawin, about a 45 minute drive. I sent him an email and hopefully he will have a box or two of those 38 grainers on hand. I will have to talk to him to see what the difference in performance bonding or not bonding the jacket to the core makes on a coyote. I have gone to the 39 grain Sierras for coyotes as I was getting too much fur damage with the 35 Bergers and the Sierras have shown promise on the limited number of coyotes I have shot with them. Maybe these new bullets will do the trick. What I do know is the fur buyer does not like those big exit holes even if they are well stitched up  .

I knew about this guy in Wetaskawin, he didn't have bullets for the .204 then.

Singleshot,

When you get the info, please post it. Also, I don't know why you're doing so poorly with the Bergers. For me, it was the other way around, the 39 gr. BK's were making too much damage to my liking and when I switched to the Bergers, the pelt damage was reduced substantially.

Cheers!

Canis.

My 38 grain bullets from Gunhaus arrived today. The hollow point hole diameter is .050. Looks like they'll have a good launch/splat factor. Bearing length is .275". The overall lengths varied a few thousandths at .665 "BUT" comparator OAL and weight are dead nuts from bullet to bullet :!: Good job Gunhaus :D .

I was sick last weekend with a cold and this weekend with the Flu. I wish guys at work would stay home when they're sick :wall: .It will be a while before I get a chance to shoot them. After the postal shoot i'll give them a try with RE10X.
