Loads for Remington 700 SPS-V

Post by gwhunter »

Recently bought a Remington .204 700 SPS-V. Got 1 inch groups with factory Hornady 32gr V-max at 100 yds. Gun will be used for mostly coyote and bobcat. Read good things about the 35gr Bergers out of the gun, was wondering if any one had some info on reloading; ie: powder, amount of powder, seating depth, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thank you in advance.

Just a suggestion, if you look just above your post here, you will notice favorite loads for the 204. Although the 32 gr bullets will kill yotes and bobcats, I would suggest starting with either 39gr sbk's or 40gr v-max's. I have never used the Berger bullets, but I hear very good results with the 35 gr bullets.

35gr Berger and a stiff load of IMR 8208 powder. On a GOOD day it will shoot sub .5moa in my DPMS AR. It will always shoot around .75moa. 5 shot groups of coarse. I've had 2 Rem 700 sps varmints, great guns. About to buy one in 243. Good luck
