Try sizing one case without the expander ball. Then try to seat a bullet in the case. I believe you will find you don't actually need the expander ball. If you do you can just run the case back through the die with the expander. Remember to chamfer or you'll strip jacket material off when you seat the bullet.

The Lee factory Crimp Die is giving me Extreme Spreads of 3-4 fps. I weigh every charge - EXACTLY. I weight sort my cases (after prep).
I was getting 15-20 fps ES before I tried the Factory Crimp Die.
When your attack is going well you are about to be ambushed.
