26 grain barnes w/imr 4166--200 yd 1/2" groups

while at the gun range a few days ago another shooter told me that his friend was shooting a .204 Ruger using 26 grain barnes bullets and loading IMR-4166 powder. he said he was loading cases completely full and with that was shooting 1/2" groups at 200 yards--I was of course a little skeptical. I went home and checked the manual and put the max. load into a case and sure enough it was brim full. I backed it down about 1/2 grain and at 200 yards they went into (3 rounds) .77 inches. that is probably as good as I can shoot considering my old eyes. I was quite impressed with myself. Just thought I would pass it on--good shooting and thanks for taking a look. truckerwalt
