New load!

Post by foxwhistler »

Hi there. ive just got some new nosler brass and decided to work up a new load for my 204!
Ive got some viht N133 to try our and will be using 39gr b/kings and either remi 7 1/2 or bcci br4 primers. this load will mostly be used for fox!
Just wondering if anyone knows the maximum recommended load!
The rifle is a Remi LVSF with a 22 inch barrel.
Many thanks for any advice!

I found this on their website. They also have an app you can download. They don't specifically list the 39gr. SBKs though. I've tried N-133 with my custom benchrest style .204 Ruger shooting 35gr. Bergers and it worked very well. I ended up using Benchmark. My rifle groups a little better with Benchmark.

Personally I would feel safe starting at the minimum load for the 40 gr. V-Max (23.1) and working up slowly in .2 gr. increments till I found a sweet spot. I would stop if I started noticing signs of high pressure, certainly well before I reached the maximum load shown as 25.3.

Thanks for that. At least it gives me somewhere to start!
I have been mostly using benchmark up till now, but have been told it may get hard to come by in the UK! That's why I'd like to try some vihtavuori!
