I use CFE223 for my 32gr V-max loads & IMR 4895 for my 39gr Blitz King loads. It seems like my Savage model 12 likes these particular powder/bullet combinations. I use the 32gr loads for targets, prairie dogs & other small vermin & the 39gr loads for predators.
Shoot straight & often.

Reloader-10X and Ramshot Xterminator have both worked very well for me. However, I currently find myself with an excess of H4895, so I'm going to try to work up a good 39gr SBK load for 2018.

I know I am really starting to settle into CFE223, Imr4831, AA 2200, 1680 & CFE Blk, for all may small calibers, 17 to 224. Finding loads that work well as for FPS and accuracy. By doing this I am cutting down the amount of powders I had on hand and just stocking on these and keeping satisfied with them. Bill K

im thinking less varitys n more of what works.hate the idea of 10 calibers n 10 diffrent powders. but 22 hornet, lil gun,204 r -cfe 223,22-250-8208 xbr and 45 colt unique.but im using the 8208 up in the 22-250 then seeing how cfe 223 works in it too

i have heard comments about reloaders not liking some powders such as 4024, 4198 4831. i have a redding powder measure and if i find that the powders are getting sheared i have found that if i use a very quick stroke of the charging handle that i never have any trouble throwing a charge. sometimes when i pour powder into the hopper that i have added more than what i need for this loading session i can merely very quickly operate the lever and can run 20 or 30 charges through the powder measure and never have one hesitation . it works for me try it you might like it.

Let's see some of those tight groups, some are talking about, scored and put into the monthly 204 shoot. Bill K

Given the tiny bore and potential for very high pressures, should a slower powder be a better selection than the faster burn rates? I'm fairly new to this caliber is why I ask.

Today my Savage LRPV shot a .140" group center to center @ 100M using 32 VMax in Hornady cases, COL 2.245", WSR primer, and 27.4 gn H4895. I have tried all the featured powders, but so far nothing I have tried can beat the H4895. I want to try the Reloader 10X, but cannot find it .
