I grabbed a pound saturday at my lgs.im gonna see if its as good or better than imr 8208 xbr.
I like varget but my 204 dont and almost have to use a toothpick to poke it in a 204 neck.my 22-250 likes varget.i am going to roll a few for it out of 8208 n cfe 223 to see if much change too.
We are all still striving for that perfect powder n bullets.
If anybody has some pointers on what im loading speak up

Robert, I am using CFE 223 at 29.4 in my 204R and it is shooting nice groups and doing well on squeeks/chucks/rabbits/coyote with the 32 grain bullet. I would start a little lower in the charge and work up. It should work well in your rifle. Bill K

Hi Robert I'm putting 30 grains of CFE 223 behind a 32 bullet I'm really pleased with the grouping and it pours well too just flows like water, it says it helps keep copper fouling to a minimum and I hope that's a fact as my .204 is accurate as long as I don't clean it. Adrian

I've also found that 29.4 grains of 223 behind 32 gr. Varmageddon's is one of most accurate loads. I have records showing a 10 shot average of 3641 fps and all 10 shots were within the size of a squeek. Close enough for me and what I do. Randy.
