Today in Topeka I paid $60 for 1 lb of Benchmark, plus tax.

This is getting ridiculous...

Yup, wierd/expensive times we're in right now. Remember that when you vote next. Right now we're all suffering under 'Bidenomics'. I'll sure be glad then this bird is down the road.

I've got an old can of H4831 left from around 1970 that still has the price tag of $2.79 on it. And almost all the 100 lbs+ in my powder locker were purchased for an average of about $25 each over the past 10 or 15 years. Because of planning, I've got enough rifle and pistol powder on the shelves to probably last me the rest of my hunting and shooting days. But I hear ya, paying $60/lb. is just plain ridiculous, but if it's your only choice, well then.....we do what we gotta do when we need what we want.

Glad you found and brought home what you needed to get that new smokepole up and running. And she's looking purty good now after her new makeover too! :D

I was in a store the other day and most of the powder was $35 give or take but the Benchmark was $60. I scratched my head and I'm curious why it was so much more.

Same with my one local GS, decent amount of powder showing up and he is ordering in what and when he can. Pretty good variety and prices are averaging around 36.00 a lb. So he is not gouging us at least. :)

I got a couple of lbs of 223 CFE I've never tried. H4895 & RL15 shoot groups as tight as I can hold them.
