I finally found some RL10x at scheels in Rochester MN when we were down for National's Dance competition last weekend for my daughter (her team took 2nd and 5th in the two discipline's they were in by the way). I have been looking for this powder to try with light 32 grain bullets since I started reloading at the beginning of covid. So close to 4 years now. Haven't really gotten anything to shoot 32's in either of my Savage's. Yesterday's question was for my 110 storm that I picked up used last fall. No bore scope and no "good" knowledge of it's previous life. Bought from a friend from church, was his FIL's ranch gun for a bit. It was definitely a truck gun from how dirty it was. Took a good cleaning. The main reason I want to shoot lighter bullets in this gun is to be able to feed from the detachable magazine. It will hopefully resume its truck gun duties while in my employ as well and also be a prairie dog gun for my son or a backup. Can't get the 39gr speer tnt's to feed from a magazine without coming out of the magazine and jamming into the bottom face of the barrel. Well it looks like I might just have accept that this is the best this gun will shoot. I want to shoot vmax's or varmageddon's since I have 5-600 of each. I don't really want to try any blitzking's as I want to save them for my vlp. The best group so far was a Varmageddon with 25.3 gr's. I'll try some seating depth tests hopefully in the next couple weeks as schedule and wether permits.

I was able to shoot on an old farmstead we have rented from a family friend and now my cousin owns. This place is my range of choice when wind will impead a grouping session especially with light calibers or bullets.

The small old grain bins haven't seen anything but pigeons the last 40 years or so. I've taken a few bushels of them with shotguns and .22's over the year's but never a .204 until yesterday. A pair flew down and took off while I was letting the barrel cool between shot strings. I was hoping they'd come back and sure enough they did. V-max @ 90 yards......feathers like a spring snow. Only got a 4 shot group out of that charge weight. Oh well.

My Remington XR 100 really likes 10X. With the 35 gr. Berger Flat Base over 25.1 grains of 10X it will stack them up. Got to where I could shoot five on a target and cover the group with a dime. That's how I came up with the 5-N-Dime competition title.
Very good Skipper. Just about what I did and how I came up with the groups my 204's like, but with CFE 223. Looking forward to your target score in the next shoot.
Well they're a bit bigger than a dime but this load is getting put to work. The 13 lined Ground Squirrels are out and about finally. The grass is just about to high in the ditches. Hard part is lining up on them as they only stop for a second or so. Then back to running around playing grab butt.
