Safe organization

Post by savageboy23 »

Has anyone else had issues organizing rifles in there safe? I own a cannon 28 gun and lucky if I can get 14 scoped rifles in it. Budget won't allow for another safe(don't really need it yet either)so I need some creative suggestions please. :D

Depends on your exact physical layout, but one thing that works well is to remove all the bolts from the rifles and store them on a shelf. They'll then fit much closer together, and you'll also get less 'safe-dings' as a result.

That's a great suggestion Rick, I never thought about that. I also have a Cannon 28 gun safe, and things are really close in there. In fact I had to remove the barrels from my shotguns to get them into the safe.

Gun safes are very much like rubber rafts and camping tents. If you load any of them to 'stated capacity', they are too full to be comfortable/useable or practical. Those $1.99 deer bags would be another example of this phenomena. :duh:
