Hi,new here.
A friend has a 41 Mag that he wants me to load for him.Does anyone have any starting loads? that has shown some promise in guns that you shot?
He mostly is looking for a plinking load.Stating that,he also wants to have a carry gun for the bears while fishing and walking in the woods with his wife.Thanks.pan.

I used to shoot one quite a bit. Mostly I cast my own bullets, using Lyman's 410459 mould (the old Elmer Keith design). I used Unique almost exclusively, 7.5 gr./225 Keith bullet, WLP primers, Remington cases, or, for deer hunting 11.0/225Keith for 1365fps. I dinked around with Speer's 220 JSP (half-jacket) and Blue Dot, too, but I forget the exact loads, that was 25 years ago!
All three of those loads shot really well in my 6 1/2" Blackhawk, under 1 1/2" at 25 yards. I wish I had that one back.........................
