Ray,
I've played with one at the gun store but have not fired one. I didn't like the grip but that's just my opinion based upon one touch. For that style of gun I perfer the Springfield XD-M (don't have one yet but I will someday).
If I were you I'd try to find a range that rents them and try before you buy.

Captqc............Thanks for your input. I didn't know if Rick would have jumped in? Rick has made comments of his boys bring new toys to his house and didn't know if this one was on the list.
Don't know of any shops here in Pa that you can try befor you buy.
I did handle one if felt comfortable and lined up well.
Thanks and later.

Ray, I'm not a fan of poly frame pistols, but that one looks to be a nice combination of compactness and power in an attractive, functional package. It looks perfect for CCW with all the nice melted lines too. If it shoots well, you will have a very nice daily carry piece once you decide on the holster and method of carry. Congrats on the new companion. :D

Let us know how she shoots!

 Thanks for the comments. Barrel and slide fit together real nice and smooth. 4 metal tabs in the poly fram that the slide glides on. Yep got a white box of W/W in 230 hard ball to try plus my handloads. she has a 4" barrel were my son's Kimber is a 5 " Had to stay with the 45 cal........if it worked for a 100 years, it should work today!!
Not to get to far off subject. If your around a gun shop and they have a Sako M-995 rife in a plastic stock (original) take a look at the recoil lug they use..........scarry for the horse powder you can get that model in.
Thanks again and hope all is well.
