I have a Marlin 881 that shoots great, but for about 4 years I put up with that aweful heavy and creep filled trigger. Then my nephew (a Timney employee0 said he could easily clean it up with his Dremmel-took 5 minutes. Since then it's a pleasure to shoot. Not sure if the Basix trigger kit was available in 1990 or I would have bought one immediatly.

If the Savage comes with an Accutrigger, jump on it!
