Re: Duck Season Begins
TK, looks like some very good times that make for very fond memories for years afterwards. Treasure your friends while we have them, as when they're gone, it puts a huge hole in the lives of those who remain. I truly miss my long time duck hunting friend, Norm, engineer, cartoon artist supreme, funny as heck, and a great wingshot to boot. RIP Norm.

I agree, duck hunting buddies are special.

Re: Duck Season Begins
it's reassuring to know that there are so many duck hunters in this group. I have been a duck hunter for as long as i have been an adult. My dad never duck hunted. He went on dove hunts sponsored by Amoco Oil, but that's about it. On the other hand I learned how to duck hunt while in the Marines and have continued to this day. All my boys are duck hunters and even one of my girls likes to duck hunt.

Thank you Skipper, for all those. Looks like some great times and plenty of waterfowl and fun. Plus the good eats.

Your pictures made me smile. The waterfowl brotherhood is strong everywhere-

I thought you might enjoy seeing some of my mounts. How many can you identify?

I have a lake house on Lake Travis. I'll take pictures of those and post next time I go up there.

Skipper, all I can say is that it's obvious that you're one serious duck hunting guy!
But I'll say that all the recent traffic here has livened up the forum from going moribund, and that's a good thing. Ducks, fish, guns, it's all good.

Re: Duck Season Begins
I see a buffie upper left. I actually shot on in north central Kansas once. The one in the middle looks like a teal...and it gets murky on those brown ducks
