A while back we all longed for this site to become a Small Caliber Forum or something similar. Since we can't seem to find Tarrin, we created one within the 204 Ruger.com website. Since its inception it has not been used or, it seems, not very useful in accomplishing what we were wanting. Today, I decided to try a simple search to see what received the most hits when looking for Small Caliber Forums. To my surprise, our own internal Small Caliber Forum was the top of the list as demonstrated below:
So, that got me to thinking that I might create various threads within the Small Calibre Forum for each cartridge identified in the small bore category. These threads just might spark interest from members as well as visitors to take part in discussions about their small round of choice. That may lead to other developments that might possibly reignite interest in this website of ours.
What says the members?? Worth a try - enough interest??

Skipper, looking forward to seeing how this works out too. I see the other accuracy oriented/varmint shooting forums are getting much traffic.

Re: Small Caliber Forum Future
My feeling is that if we, the membership, start utilizing the caliber specific threads within the Small Caliber Forum for discussion it might help. So if you were posting something on .17 caliber you could use that thread. If you were posting something on .20 caliber then you could use that thread. If you were posting something that involves several different small calibers, like the Rat Rodeo, just create a new thread within the Small Caliber Forum.
If the 204 Ruger.com website is worth saving we may have to get creative. Just my two cents worth.

Skipper - I would also endorse the effort to see how your proposal would work. While my travel season is now in full swing, including to areas far removed from internet and cell service, I will drop in occasionally as time and connection services allow and see how this sparks traffic to the site.

Re: Small Caliber Forum Future
Thanks for the encouragement MTPaul. I hope this experiment garners some strength. I would encourage everyone to start posting in the Small Caliber Forum. That would be the most effective way to make it work. If your post is caliber specific, then post in that thread. If NOT, just post in the Small Caliber Forum with a new thread. IF, I say if, your post is directly related to the 204 Ruger then the existing Forums would be the place for those discussions.
I'm going to anchor the .20 and .17 caliber threads so they do not disappear. If there are other calibers, we'll start a dedicated topic for that, too.

Its not really setting the woods on fire, huh?

Well well, a voice from the past.
Are you gloating that the forum is very slow, and glad of it?
If you've got something to say related to varmints, guns or the field, feel free to contribute.
