Hi Tom!
I'd say the targets of opportunity in your neck of the woods are in for a serious case of lead poisoning.
What weight bullet are you shooting and what velocity are you getting?

TK, I'd say you're right in that 204 is "ready to go". Getting it ready for pd's or chucks?
Here's a shot of a sage rat shot last week with my Cooper 20VT from a measly 211 yards out in the alfalfa. Same result as your water jug, jut a bit more red mist involved.
That rat flew up about 6', the 204 will launch them even higher, up to an estimated 12'!

If I had used one of my 204's, that rat would have been in pieces with a 32gr Varmageddon at 4,060 fps! Now in the rat patch, I save my 204's for when the range is over 300+ yards.
A view of a "rat heavy" alfalfa field with telltale squirrel mounds everywhere. The 204 is perfect for this when the wind is up and/or the range is 300 yards+. My Anschutz 1715D HB 17HMR on the bench ready for rat duty.

The pic was shot early in the day when the 17HMR was perfect for shots in the 200 yard range prior to breaking out the .20's for the longer stuff.
